Do you feel like you are walking on eggshells  disciplining your kids?

The journey to a healthier happier life begins with you taking HBCC's parenting course!  The parenting course takes you on a 6-week journey where each week builds on the previous week and your journey to confidently understanding and parenting your child begins!


Collaborative Problem Solving® (CPS) is a revolutionary, evidence-based approach for helping children develop the skills they need to manage their behavior.  This class is teaches parents and caregivers how to reduce challenging behaviors by using the CPS approach with their child. 


This is a parent/caregiver class for those not familiar with Collaborative Problem Solving and for those who have taken a class previously and want a refresher are welcome. Class materials and opportunities for questions and answers will be a part of this highly interactive parent class experience.


Taking this class will help you:

  • Understand why children sometimes struggle to meet day-to-day expectations.
  • Learn the Collaborative Problem Solving approach to addressing conflicts in a way that reduces challenging behaviors, improves relationships, and teaches critical skills.
  • Practice addressing problems before things become escalated between you and your child.
  • Connect with other parents in a compassionate and non-judgmental setting.
  • You will receive a certificate of participation for sessions attended.
  • The 6-week course ends with an individualized 1:1 one hour follow-up consultation.


  • Optional “Next Steps” are to follow the parent class with the Role Play Workshop, Group Coaching Course with a Certified LMFT, and/or Inclusion Parent Coaching.


Course Details:

  • Class is limited to 10 participants.
  • Pre-registration is required.
  • One hour consultation is included in course fee.
  • When registering, you are signing up for 6 Weeks.


This class is tailored for parents/caregivers and is taught by Certifed Experts who are also parents/caregivers.  Attendance is highly encouraged for each session as the learning builds upon the previous session's content.  Arrangements can be made to make-up a session in subsequent sessions if needed, although maximum confidence is acquired by committing to attending the full seires of sessions. 


Participation Fee:

$175 per person

$275* for two people


Repeat Attendess:

$80 per person

$130* for two people


* Must be discussing the same child in order to take advantage of the Two Co-parent /Caregiver discount


Scholarships & Tuition Assistance:

  • One scholarship per course
  • Two tuition assistance per course
  • Anyone experiencing financial hardship should apply for a scholarship or tuition assistance.  Funds for scholarships and tuition assistance are limited yet no-one is turned away because of finanaces.
