Elisa Brown is a Certified Trainer in Collaborative Problem Solving® who works with parents, educators, and professionals to better understand the thinking and skills behind challenging behavior. Through training, coaching, and education, she helps adults shift from reactive responses to approaches that prioritize understanding, connection, and collaborative problem-solving.
Elisa teaches Introduction to Collaborative Problem Solving®, Level 1 Collaborative Problem Solving® training, and Collaborative Problem Solving® parent classes, helping participants learn practical strategies for supporting children with behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges. Her work focuses on building the knowledge and skills adults need to respond effectively while strengthening relationships and reducing conflict.
Elisa’s work is grounded in the Collaborative Problem Solving® model developed by Dr. Ross Greene, which recognizes that challenging behavior occurs when the demands placed on a child exceed their current skills. Her trainings focus on helping adults identify lagging skills, understand the concerns driving behavior, and work collaboratively with children to solve problems.
Relational and strengths-based in her style, Elisa translates the Collaborative Problem Solving® model into practical tools that parents, educators, and clinicians can apply immediately in homes, schools, and community settings. Her goal is to help adults move from discipline-focused approaches toward strategies that build regulation, communication, and long-term problem-solving skills.
Elisa is passionate about supporting families and professionals working with neurodivergent children and teens, including those with ADHD, autism, learning differences, and emotional regulation challenges.
Through Collaborative Problem Solving® training and parent classes, she helps adults better understand the child’s perspective while developing strategies that reduce power struggles and increase collaboration. Her work emphasizes creating environments where children feel safe, understood, and supported while developing the skills they need to succeed.
